Topshop Boots »

This past weekend I spotted some great little heel boots in line at the bank. When I asked the girl sporting them where they were from I was pleasantly surprised to hear Topshop. I promptly left the bank and headed north on Broadway to check out what else was there in terms of little heel boots. Here are a few favorites from the very affordable British retailer.

Spotted: Isabel Marant »

Last night at QQ Nails & Spa (the best nail spa in the West Village for cleanliness, affordability and free goodies like Lemonheads, Skittles and Diet Coke) I spotted a girl wearing these Isabel Marant ‘Dicker’ suede ankle booties and loved them. Check out some cool looks for these booties courtesy of Polyvore.

A guy’s take »

The other night my 25-year-old male banker neighbor suggested I post these boots to Little Heel. Always interesting to know what guys like…Though I’d venture to guess there aren’t too many 25-year-old guys shopping for ladies on Hermes.

Hermes Revue for $1,025.00 (Available in sepia, brown, and black calfskin; sizes 36-40)

Straight Off the Boat »

Back home in Washington for the holidays where last year’s lovely snow has been replaced with cold rain. But that’s fine with us given all the great movies out now such as Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. If you’re somewhere rainy this week you need a good pair of rain boots like the Pelican from Sperry. Sperry is best-known for its boat shoes but its line of rain boots is equally praiseworthy as the boots are just as equipped to keep you sturdy on wet surfaces.

Sperry Top-Sider Pelican Tall Rain Boot for $79.95 at Nordstrom (Available in black quilt; Sizes 5-11)
